Pistol 2 – Advanced Concealed Carry Tactics

Course Overview:
This advanced-level course is designed for experienced shooters who already possess a the working knowlege of a fundamental drawstroke, muzzle awareness, precise use of the sights.  The training focuses on real-world concealment methods, dynamic shooting techniques, and the cognitive aspects of armed self-defense in public environments.

Participants will engage in scenario-based drills, movement under stress, and tactical decision-making exercises that replicate the challenges of an actual defensive encounter. Legal, ethical, and psychological components of carrying and potentially using a firearm in self-defense are also covered in-depth.

Key Topics Include:

  • Advanced concealed draw techniques from various carry positions

  • Defensive shooting while moving, from cover

  • Engaging multiple threats and threat prioritization

  • One-handed weapon manipulation (injury drills, support-hand only)

  • Stress inoculation and decision-making under pressure

  • Close-quarters engagements and weapon retention

Course Includes:

  • Full-day range and classroom training

  • Force-on-force simulations with inert training weapons

  • Advanced marksmanship diagnostics and coaching

  • Certificate of completion for advanced CCW/renewal requirements (where applicable)

Required Equipment:

  • Defensive handgun in good working condition

  • Concealment holster (strong-side, IWB/OWB, no shoulder or cross-draw)

  • 3 magazines/speedloaders minimum

  • 300–400 rounds of factory ammunition

  • Flashlight or weapon-mounted light (optional but recommended)

  • Eye and ear protection (electronic preferred)

  • Range-appropriate clothing (including cover garments)

  • Hydration, snacks, and notetaking materials

Note: This course assumes a working knowledge of firearm safety and pistol operation. It is not suitable for first-time shooters.

 

Required Gear:
Eye and ear protection
Defensive pistol
400 rounds of pistol ammunition
3 pistol magazines minimum
2 magazine pouches
Your concealed carry setup
Your EDC belt
One magazine of your carry ammo

We will be eating lunch on site so please bring food and snacks as well as drinks.

 

We highly recommend bringing the following:

Bug repellent
Sun block
Chair
Water
Hat
Appropriate clothing and footwear (No open toe shoes or V neck shirts)

 

Holster restrictions:

No shoulder rigs
No cross draw holsters
All holsters subject to instructor approval

 

Cancellation policy:

A student has up to 8 days before a class to reschedule to take the same class.  A voucher will be given to attend the same class at a later date.  If a student cancels within 7 days of class start no refund or voucher will be given.  

 

Start time:

0900am Central class will be approximately 8 hours long.
